Sawabe M, et al. – This case-control study was undertaken to examine the heterogeneous impact of smoking on major salivary gland cancer according to histopathological subtype. The risk of major salivary gland cancers (M-SGCs) overall was associated with cigarette smoking. However, the impact of smoking appeared to be limited to M-SGCs other than mucoepidermoid carcinoma (MEC).
