Huang CF, et al. - This study was performed to examine whether hepatitis B virus (HBV) dual infection disrupted platelet (PLT) count recovery in chronic hepatitis C (CHC) patients with curative antiviral therapy. Following hepatitis C virus (HCV) eradication, PLT counts recovered. PLT count recovery was disrupted by HBV dual infection, particularly in CHC patients with the advanced liver disease.
