Yang J, et al. - The target of the researchers was to contemplate the value of hepatic resection by comparing it with transarterial chemoembolization for hepatocellular carcinoma beyond the Milan criteria with clinically relevant portal hypertension. The inference drawn was that hepatic resection was as safe as transarterial chemoembolization and conferred a major survival benefit in a properly selected group of patients.
