Morales BP, et al. – The authors performed this HEPACONTROL to reduce early readmission and aimed to assess its effect on mortality and emergency department visits. In patients with decompensated cirrhosis, HEPACONTROL decreased the incidence of early readmission, the rate of emergency department visits and mortality at 60 days, and it was cost–effective.
