European Journal of Nutrition Nov 10, 2017
Abar L, et al. - A meta-analysis of prospective studies was conducted on the association between height and colorectal cancer risk (CRC) risk with subgroup analysis and updated evidence on the association between body fatness and CRC risk. The researchers found a positive association between height and risk of CRC. Therefore, the findings suggested that life factors during childhood and early adulthood could play a role in CRC aetiology. During adulthood, higher general and abdominal body fatness were risk factors of CRC and these associations were stronger in men than in women.
