Health-related quality of life in asthma patients: A comparison of two cohorts from 2005 to 2015

Sundh J, et al. - This study was designed to explore temporal variation in Health-Related Quality of Life (HRQL) and factors affecting low HRQL, in asthmatics. Swedish asthmatics exhibited generally good HRQL and no change in HRQL during the last decade. Factors associated with lower HRQL included overweight, obesity, exacerbations, self-rated moderate/severe disease, heart disease, depression/anxiety and rhinitis, whereas high educational level and knowledge on self-management were found to be related to higher HRQL.
