Vaidya A, et al. – The purpose of this analysis was to evaluate the cost–effectiveness of targeted intraoperative radiotherapy (TARGIT–IORT) for early breast cancer. Results displayed that TARGIT–IORT was a dominant strategy over external–beam radiation therapy (EBRT). Moreover, it was less costly and offered higher quality–adjusted life–years (QALYs) gain.
