Cassidy RJ, et al. – For patients with stage II/III rectal cancers, researchers gauged the impact of therapies on overall survival (OS). Also, predictors of therapy were explored within the National Cancer Data Base (NCDB). Findings revealed that a significant portion of octogenarians and nonagenarians with stage II/III rectal adenocarcinomas did not receive treatment. Chemoradiation and then surgery [CRT+S] had been highlighted as a reasonable strategy for elderly patients who could tolerate therapy.
