Gastroenterology Jan 21, 2018
Simurina M, et al. - Researchers planned this study to assess changes in immunoglobulin G (IgG) Fc-glycosylation associated with ulcerative colitis (UC) and Crohn’s disease (CD), along with disease characteristics in different patient groups. Disease (compared to controls) and its clinical features were found to be associated with levels of IgG Fc-glycosylation. These findings could enhance the understanding regarding the mechanisms of CD and UC pathogenesis and be used to develop diagnostics or guide treatment.
