Pormohammad A, Mehdinejadiani K, Gholizadeh P, et al. - A total of 150 studies were involved from 41 countries of six various WHO regional offices globally in this systemic review and meta-analysis in order to determine the global prevalence of colistin resistance in clinical isolates of Acinetobacter baumannii. Analysis explicated that compared with other regions of the world, predominance and rate of raised colistin resistance in South-East Asia and Eastern Mediterranean countries were greater. Hence, in these countries, the establishment of relevant antibiotic usage guidelines should be a necessity.
