Han L, et al. - Researchers planned this study to investigate whether the genetic variation determining habitual coffee consumption affected glycemic changes in response to weight-loss dietary intervention. They recommended that by eating a low-fat diet, participants with genetically determined high coffee consumption could benefit more in improving fasting insulin and homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) in a short term.
