Genetic susceptibility of postmenopausal osteoporosis on sulfide quinone reductase-like gene

Osteoporosis International Jun 06, 2018

Cai X, et al. - Experts ascertained if SQRDL was related to susceptibility to postmenopausal osteoporosis (PMOP) (a metabolic bone disease leading to progressive bone loss and the deterioration of the bone microarchitecture) in the Han Chinese population. A significant role of SQRDL was noted in the aetiology of PMOP, thereby suggesting that it could be a genetic risk factor for BMD and osteoporosis in Han Chinese postmenopausal women. Findings suggested that 3 SNPs (rs1044032, rs2028589, and rs12913151) were significantly related to BMD.
