Generalized estimating equation model to compare drug effects on synovitis of the dominant wrist in severe rheumatoid arthritis between tocilizumab versus adalimumab versus abatacept using high-resolution ultrasound
International Journal of Rheumatic Diseases Oct 16, 2017
Chen YC, et al. - Herein, the comparative efficacy of biologicals underwent scrutiny in patients with refractory rheumatoid arthritis (RA) with the aid of power Doppler (PD) ultrasound. The intent was to gain assistance during clinical decision making. A greater effect on reducing synovial hypertrophy was brought about with tocilizumab and adalimumab, in a 6-month head-to-head comparison of patients with RA. On the other hand, adalimumab exhibited a greater effect in controlling inflammation in PD.
