Gastrointestinal involvement in patients with mantle cell lymphoma: A single center experience of eighty-five patients
Digestive Diseases Feb 23, 2019
Lamm W, et al. - In this retrospective single-center evaluation, researchers analyzed the rate and prognostic impact of gastrointestinal tract (GI) involvement on mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) in 85 consecutive patients with MCL. In all, 29 patients had MCL with endoscopically detectable GI involvement and 56 had MCL without endoscopically detectable GI involvement. According to findings, GI involvement did not affect the clinical course of MCL, and no GI complications occurred in these patients during chemotherapy. Since most patients were also asymptomatic, these findings do not support routine assessment of the GI in patients with MCL.
