Gamma imaging–guided minimally invasive breast biopsy: Initial clinical experience

Brem RF, et al. - Researchers planned this study to report their initial experience with gamma imaging–guided vacuum-assisted breast biopsy in women with abnormal findings. They recognized gamma imaging–guided biopsy to be a viable approach to sampling breast-specific gamma imaging (BSGI)-molecular breast imaging (MBI)–detected lesions without sonographic or mammographic correlate. These results compare favorably to those reported for MRI-guided biopsy.
