Fusion of three-dimensional echocardiographic regional myocardial strain with cardiac computed tomography for noninvasive evaluation of the hemodynamic impact of coronary stenosis in patients with chest pain
Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography Mar 28, 2018
Mor-Avi V, et al. - The objective herein was to validate the fusion of three-dimensional (3D) echocardiography–derived regional resting longitudinal strain with coronary arteries from computed tomographic coronary angiography (CTCA) against accepted reference techniques in patients with chest pain. The fusion of CTCA and 3D echocardiography–derived resting myocardial strain offered combined displays, which could prove to be useful for determining the hemodynamic or functional impact of coronary abnormalities without additional ionizing radiation or stress testing.
