Xie Y, et al. - In the present study, researchers tested the effectiveness and safety of furazolidone eradication therapies as initial treatments for H. pylori infection via performing a national, multicenter, open-label, randomized controlled trial at 16 sites across 13 provinces in China. According to the findings obtained, furazolidone-containing therapies, especially the tested 10-day quadruple therapy, showed satisfactory efficacy and safety. For Chinese patients, this 10-day quadruple therapy represented a promising initial treatment strategy.
