Functional status mediates the association between peripheral neuropathy and health-related quality of life in individuals with diabetes
Acta Diabetologica Dec 03, 2017
Riandini T, et al. - Differences in health-related quality of life (HRQoL) were examined between patients with and without diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN). In addition, the authors aimed to investigate whether these differences could be explained by functional deficits. Compared to patients without DPN, patients with DPN had worse HRQoL, partly mediated by functional status parameters. In improving HRQoL, effective interventions targeting functional status could be beneficial in these patients.
