Bennett TD, et al. – Here the physicians examined the hypothesis that intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring was associated with improved functional survival of children with severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). They found no evidence of a benefit from ICP monitoring on the functional survival of children with severe TBI. They illustrated that intracranial pressure monitoring was a widely but inconsistently used technology with incompletely demonstrated effectiveness.
