Bennett TD, et al. - This study incorporated the inspection of the hypothesis that intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring correlated with improved functional survival of children presenting with severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). No evidence was yielded in support of this hypothesis. The ICP monitoring appeared to be a widely but inconsistently used technology, exhibiting incompletely demonstrated effectiveness. Hence, additional analyses were necessitated.
