FSH may be a useful tool to allow early diagnosis of Turner syndrome

Carpini S, et al. - An inquiry was pursued of the gonadotropins levels to aid in the diagnosis of girls with Turner syndrome (TS). Based on the findings, karyotyping of girls with short stature and high follicular stimulating hormone (FSH) levels was found to be beneficial for the early diagnosis of Turner syndrome in a substantial number of patients, especially owing to the limited resources for chromosome study of all girls with a growth deficiency.
