Frequency of non-motor symptoms in Parkinson’s disease presenting to tertiary care centre in Pakistan: An observational, cross-sectional study

Mukhtar S, et al. - This was the first study investigating the frequency of non-motor symptoms (NMS) in patients of Parkinson’s disease (PD) presenting to a movement disorder clinic at a tertiary care centre in Pakistan, and how the frequency of NMS is different in male and female patients. Out of one hundred two patients, eighty-five were included in this observational, cross-sectional study. The results of this study showed that NMS was quite prevalent in PD in the population. It was observed in the findings that certain NMS were more common in female patients as compared with male patients.
