Fillingham YA, et al. - Researchers compared the formal outpatient physical therapy (PT) with unsupervised home exercises following unicompartmental knee arthroplasty (UKA). They found that for most patients after UKA, self-directed exercises could be appropriate. Nonetheless, there was a subset of patients who could benefit from formal PT.
