Ramos VF, et al. – The scientists applied finite element method, in order to analyze the distribution of deformation stresses in customized and non–customized plates during simulated advancement genioplasty. They revealed that the customized Traumec plate offered better deformation stress distribution and plate/segment stabilization when submitted to advancement genioplasty.
