Follicular lymphoma: Pre-treatment TEP/CT scan texture parameters as predictive biomarkers of progression free survival and time to next treatment
Hematological Oncology Jun 19, 2019
Durot E, et al. - In patients with follicular lymphoma treated with immuno-chemotherapy and maintenance, researchers ascertained if texture analysis features on pretreatment non-enhanced computed tomography (CT) images derived from FDG-TEP-CT scan may predict progression free survival (PFS), time to next treatment (TTNT) and overall survival (OS). Study participants included 72 patients with follicular lymphoma. According to this institutional-approved retrospective study, median PFS, TTNT and OS were 1304 days, 1392 days and 1572 days respectively. Independent predictors of OS were sexe and FLIPI score. In patients with follicular lymphoma treated with immuno-chemotherapy and maintenance, pretreatment TEP scan texture analysis-derived tumour kurtosis and skewness can act as predictive biomarkers of PFS and TTNT.
