Follicular large cleaved cell (centrocytic) lymphoma: An unrecognized variant of follicular lymphoma
Human Pathology Nov 24, 2017
El Behery R, et al. - During this trial, an exploration was carried out of the follicular large cleaved cell (centrocytic) lymphoma (FLC) which served as an unrecognized variant of follicular lymphoma. Similar clinical features were discovered among patients with FLC and those with other types of FL. The survival was reported to be excellent with anthracycline-based chemotherapy plus rituximab. It was noted that FLC presented as a variant of follicular lymphoma which needed recognition in future lymphoma classifications, as the diagnosis of FLC could be vital for the selection of therapy.
