International Archives of Allergy and Immunology Jan 31, 2018
Seccia V, et al. - Researchers here focussed on the involvement of the nose and paranasal sinuses in Eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA) (Churg-Strauss syndrome). No controlled sinonasal diseases and related nasal inflammatory processes were evident, even when the rheumatological assessment scored EGPA “under control” as per the Birmingham Vasculitis Activity Score and Vasculitis Damage Index. To control the inflammatory processes and improve the quality of life, EGPA patients require clinical monitoring and targeted treatment.
