Protsyk V, et al. – Current practice trends in perioperative fluid management in cardiac surgery were studied and analyzed. Researchers observed that in European centers, perioperative fluid management in cardiac surgery patients might have changed in the last few years. As per the observations, it appeared that the preferred solutions were balanced crystalloids, followed by synthetic colloids (mainly gelatins) and albumin.
