Flexible transnasal endoscopy with white light or narrow band imaging for the diagnosis of laryngeal malignancy: Diagnostic value, observer variability and influence of previous laryngeal surgery
European Archives of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology Dec 22, 2018
Davaris N, et al. - Authors studied in this retrospective study to analyze the inter- and intra-observer variability and diagnostic value of narrow band imaging (NBI) and white light endoscopy (WLE) and to investigate the probable impact of previous laryngeal surgery on the detection rates of laryngeal malignancy. They observed NBI more sensitive as compared to WLE in diagnosing laryngeal malignancy with more accuracy and diagnostic odds ratio and determined flexible transnasal endoscopy, a relevant tool in the diagnosis of laryngeal malignancy.
