Flavonoids inhibit chronically-exposed arsenic-induced proliferation and malignant transformation of HaCaT cells
Photodermatology, Photoimmunology and Photomedicine Oct 23, 2017
Rajput M, et al. - This research explored the consequence of flavonoids on the chronically-exposed arsenic-induced proliferation and malignant transformation of HaCaT cells. Malignant transformation of skin keratinocytes was found through the chronic exposure of lower arsenic concentrations. This effect was attenuated by flavonoids silibinin and fisetin. Hence, it was illustrated that chemoprevention could reduce arsenic-caused detrimental effects on skin cells.
