Fixed vs flexible antagonist protocol in women with predicted high ovarian response except PCOS: A randomized controlled trial
BMC Pregnancy and Childbirth May 06, 2021
Luo X, Pei L, Li F, et al. - This was the first randomized control trial comparing the clinical outcome of the fixed gonadotrophin-releasing hormone (GnRH) antagonist protocol with the flexible protocol in IVF/ICSI (intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection) for the patients with predicted high ovary response except polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). The sample consisted of 201 infertile women with predicted high ovarian response except PCOS undergoing in vitro fertilization. When compared with flexible antagonist administration, fixed GnRH antagonist administration on day 5 of stimulation seem to achieve comparable oocyte retrieved.
