Komor M, et al. - The objective of this work was to analyze the dynamics stable middle ear aeration and the optimal surgical procedure for successful canal wall up tympanoplasty (CWUT) for the treatment of primary acquired cholesteatoma. Data did not display any recurrence in the case of ears associated with grade 3 aeration that underwent mastoid cortex plasty (MCP) or in ears with grade 2 aeration that underwent bony mastoid obliteration (BMO) during second-stage surgery. It was determined that the final outcome was speculated via aeration during second-stage surgery.
