FGF23 and left ventricular hypertrophy in children with CKD
Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephrology Oct 18, 2017
Mitsnefes MM, et al. - Researchers presumed the association of high fibroblast growth factor 23 (FGF23) levels with a higher prevalence of left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) in children with CKD and they explored the validity of this postulation in the present study. They found that LVH was independently predicted by plasma FGF23 concentration ≥170 RU/ml in children with eGFR≥45 ml/min per 1.73 m2.
