Jakubauskas M, et al. - The bi-fold aim of the research was to examine the long-term functional outcomes after transanal endoscopic microsurgery (TEM) and to investigate the potential variables associated with fecal incontinence. It was discovered that fecal incontinence after TEM was a common occurrence. It gave rise to a substantially impaired quality of life. Findings illustrated that older age at the time of operation was an independent risk factor for developing significant fecal incontinence.
