Feasibility trial of an early therapy in perinatal stroke (eTIPS)
BMC Neurology Jul 28, 2018
Basu AP, et al. - In the present study, researchers conducted a feasibility trial to assess feasibility and acceptability of an “early Therapy in Perinatal Stroke” (eTIPS) intervention, which is ultimately intended to improve motor outcome. Participants in the study were infants with perinatal stroke (PS) or hemorrhagic parenchymal infarction (HPI), their carers and therapists. According to the findings, completion rates for the Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Wellbeing Scale (WEBWMS) were high and did not suggest any adverse effect of engagement in eTIPS on parental mental wellbeing. The study results showed that the eTIPS intervention was feasible to deliver and acceptable to families.
