Lefebvre C, et al. – The physicians performed this prospective, observational, single–center pilot study to assess the feasibility, safety, and effects of intact cord resuscitation (ICR) on cardiorespiratory adaptation at birth in newborn infants with congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH). In infants with CDH, commencing resuscitation and initiating ventilation while the infant was still attached to the placenta was feasible. Among infants with CDH, the procedure could support the cardiorespiratory transition at birth.
