Gibu CK, et al. - This study incorporated an examination of the safety, feasibility and short-term physiological effects of noninvasive neurally adjusted ventilatory assist (NIV-NAVA) among preterm infants. It was concluded that NIV-NAVA was a safe, alternative mode of noninvasive support which yielded beneficial short-term physiological effects, particularly in comparison with NIMV.
