Fat mass is positively associated with bone mass acquisition in children with small or normal lean mass: A 3-year follow-up study

Kouda K, et al. - The impacts of fat mass (FM) on bone were assessed in pubertal children included in this study, stratified by height-normalized index of lean soft tissue mass (LSTM) [(LSTMI)]. As per the findings, in pubertal children with small or normal LSTMI, adipose tissue might help promote high bone mass acquisition.
