Montero-Odasso M, et al. - The authors aimed to investigate the role of cognition in falls, with potential implications for managing and preventing falls in older adults. In older people, falls remained common, displaying higher prevalence and morbidity in those who were cognitively impaired. In fall risk, disentangling the mechanism and contribution of cognitive deficits could open new treatment approaches. Mounting evidence supported that cognitive therapies could help in reducing falls.
