Factors that influenced undergoing renal replacement therapy and survival in children with acute kidney injury
Nephrology Mar 06, 2018
Oztek-Celebi FZ, et al. - The factors that influence acute kidney injury (AKI) stage, undergoing renal replacement therapy (RRT) and mortality were determined herein. AKI was recognized as an important condition in all hospitalized patients. For patients who were younger, who were managed in PICU and who had intrinsic type of AKI, higher likelihood of undergoing RRT was reported. No impact of pRIFLE stage and AKI place was seen on the likelihood of undergoing RRT. Younger age, undergoing RRT and having AKI during inpatient treatment were the factors that were related to mortality, as indicated in logistic regression model.
