Factors associated with the number and size of renal angiomyolipomas in sporadic angiomyolipoma (sAML): A study of adult patients with sAML managed in a Dutch tertiary referral center
International Urology and Nephrology Jan 27, 2018
Bosch JLHR, et al. - Patients with sporadic angiomyolipoma (sAML), stratified by the number and size of renal angiomyolipomas (AMLs), were retrospectively examined for patient characteristics, treatments, disease monitoring, and kidney function. High disease burden was apparent in patients with sAML, especially those with larger AMLs. Higher frequency of pre-index bleeding episodes, pre-index hypertension, post-index nephrectomy, post-index embolization, and post-index renal scans was reported in those with largest AML ≥ 3.5 cm, compared with patients with AMLs < 3.5 cm.
