Factors associated with molar-incisor hypomineralization: A population-based case-control study

Lee DW, Kim YJ, Oh Kim S, et al. - In this case-control study, researchers intended to determine if there is an association between molar-incisor hypomineralization (MIH) and pre-, peri-, and postnatal conditions of children and mothers in South Korea. This research was conducted by the Korean Academy of Pediatric Dentistry to explore MIH-related factors among six- to 13-year-olds. According to findings, maternal smoking during pregnancy and pediatric respiratory infection among Korean children suffered within three years after birth are factors correlated with the MIH.
