Kim CW, et al. – This study investigated the factors that influence articular cartilage repair following open–wedge high tibial osteotomy (OWHTO) and the link between regeneration of articular cartilage repair and clinical outcomes. Articular cartilage repair after OWHTO was negatively influenced by severe arthrosis, existence of a bipolar lesion, and marked postoperative joint line obliquity. However, articular cartilage repair showed unknown clinical significance.
