Extranodal involvement of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma in the head and neck: An indicator of good prognosis
Auris Nasus Larynx Jun 07, 2018
Lee DY, et al. - Researchers evaluated the clinicopathological characteristics and survival outcomes according to the extranodal involvement of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) in the head and neck. They conducted a retrospective analysis of 110 patients from 2004 to 2014 with CD20-positive DLBCL involving the head and neck area. Compared to the patients with solely nodal involvement, longer survival outcomes could be seen in DLBCL patients with extranodal involvement of the head and neck. The prominence of increased survival was suggested in patients with negative expression of CD10, Bcl6, and MUM1.
