Extended sleeve lobectomy for centrally located non-small-cell lung cancer: A 20-year single-centre experience

Hong TH, et al. - Researchers, in this work, reported a 20-year single-centre experience with extended sleeve lobectomy (ESL) for centrally located non-small-cell lung cancer. Findings suggested that ESL was a safe and feasible procedure that did not compromise oncological principles. This procedure could be considered as an appropriate alternative to pneumonectomy. They recommended considering this procedure in patients with centrally located tumours.
