Expression of T-cell receptor signalling pathway components in extranodal NK/T-cell lymphoma
Histopathology Aug 20, 2018
Miyata-Takata T, et al. - Given that downstream T-cell receptor (TCR) pathway is important for the development of peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL), researchers characterized the expression of TCR pathway components in extranodal NK/T-cell lymphoma (ENKTL). They theorize that the TCR pathway could be working in ENKTLs, though some ENTKL cases were polyclonal for TCR gene rearrangement and others lacked TCR protein expression. It was noted that T vs NK-signature could be better in defining the physiology of ENKTL than cellular lineage. For patients with ITK-expressing tumors, ITK could be a potential therapeutic target.
