Expression of immunoglobulin D is increased in chronic rhinosinusitis

Sokoya M, et al. - This study determined immunoglobulin (Ig)D expression in chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS). Findings demonstrated that IgD plasma cells were prominent in sinus tissues and patients with CRS had increased IgD plasma cells. Additionally, IgD protein showed the lowest concentration of antibodies in secretions, this indicated that its activity might be targeted to the tissue rather than secretions.
