Kusaka S, et al. Â Study authors carried out this investigation to examine LL-37 expression in the inflamed mucosa of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) patients. They found that LL-37 was induced by TLR3 stimulation and showed an anti-microbial effect via interaction with lipopolysaccharide (LPS).
