Surgical Endoscopy Jan 08, 2021
Mutignani M, Bonato G, Dioscoridi L, et al. - This study was attempted to present different endoscopic techniques used to treat such conditions. Researchers conducted a retrospective, single-centre, study to examine all patients who had undergone endoscopic treatment for pancreatic leaks following pancreatoduodenectomy (PD) between 1st January 2013 and 31st May 2019 at the Centre. They distinguished 13 individuals who had undergone endoscopic treatment for postoperative pancreatic fistula (POPF) after PD. According to the findings, the experience confirms the effectiveness and safety of endoscopic management of POPF following pancreatoduodenectomy management. In this clinical scenario, endoscopy should play a central role.
