Evolution of the endoscopic modified Lothrop procedure: A systematic review and meta-analysis
The Laryngoscope Sep 21, 2017
Shih LC, et al. - A comparative scrutiny was performed of the indications and outcomes of endoscopic modified Lothrop procedure (EMLP) in an early cohort of publications (1990-2008) versus a contemporary cohort (2009-2016). This study also compared the outcomes linked with follow-up ≥2 years versus <2 years. This procedure was carried out more frequently for tumors. Improved symptom outcomes and a trend toward improved patency rates were illustrated. The revision rate increased considerably when follow-up exceeded 2 years.
